How to send a WhatsApp broadcast to your contacts
Import your contacts into a group, create a campaign with an approved message, send yourself a test, and launch it. Endelir then shows who received it, who read it and whose message failed.
Import your contacts
- 1 Get the sample file Open Contacts and click Download sample format.
- 2 Fill it in One person per row: Name, Phone with the country code (919876543210, not 09876543210), and a Group Name such as "Members". Any extra column, like City, becomes a detail you can use in a message.
- 3 Import it Click Import Data, choose your file, and add everyone to a group. You will send to groups, not to single people, so give every list a group.
Send the broadcast
- 1 Start a campaign Open Campaigns and click New Campaign. Give it a name only you will see.

Choose the message
Under Select Approved Template, pick your approved template. If it has
{{1}}, choose what fills it: usually Contact Name. - 3 Choose who gets it Under Target Audience (Groups), choose the group you imported.
- 4 Test it on your phone Under Test Current Template, type your own number with the country code (+919876543210) and send. Check it on your phone before anyone else sees it.
- 5 Launch Click Launch Campaign, or set Schedule for Later first. Turn on URL Click Tracking if the message has a link and you want to see who opened it.
After you send
Each campaign shows how many messages were Sent, Delivered, Read and Failed, and the Contact Delivery Log lists every person with their status. Replies arrive in your shared inbox like any other chat. If you switched on AI replies, the AI answers them first. How to switch on AI replies.
Questions
Who can I send a WhatsApp broadcast to?
Only people who have agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp. That is Meta's rule, and messaging people who did not ask lowers your quality rating with Meta.
How many people can I message in a day?
A new business can start conversations with 250 people a day. Verifying your business with Meta raises that to 2,000, and Meta raises it further on its own while your messages are well received. People who wrote to you in the last 24 hours do not count.
What format should my contact file be in?
An Excel or CSV file with a Name column, a Phone column with the country code (such as 919876543210 for India) and a Group Name column. Click Download sample format on the Contacts page for a ready file. Any other column you add becomes a detail you can put into messages.
Can I schedule a broadcast?
Yes. Set a date and time under Schedule for Later when you create the campaign.
